WWOZ will be broadcasting live from the 2009 Fiesta Latina in Zephyr Field on Saturday, November 21.

Fiesta Latina is a celebration of Spain, Latin America, the Caribbean, and their influences on the music, food and culture of New Orleans.

Gravy is the culmination of four distinct views of musical appreciation. Since forming in 2003, Gravy has quickly climbed the ranks of the New Orleans music scene, providing a mix of styles and genres that satisfy the sophisticated palettes of their fans.  Gravy is going to bring their rock-funk sound to the 'OZ studio to help support the Fall 2009 Membership Drive.

Midnight Streetcar, local seasoned favorites, will be coming into the studio to help support our Fall 2009 Membership Drive.  Their classic New Orleans R&B sound has been pleasing local crowds and parties for a long time, and we are thrilled that they will be playing live on the air. Hosted by Billy Delle.

Big Daddy 'O' is one of those rare blues finds. For more than thirty years he has been playing in roadhouses and bars in the delta area near the Louisiana/Mississippi border.  His approach to performing songs makes each song sound like his own, and everyone who has the pleasure of hearing him loves his big beautiful voice and good-natured presentation. Hosted by Dennis Schaibly.

Musicians and fans around the world flock to hear the smooth stylings of this R&B and Jazz vocalist. Martin has collaborated with the likes of Ellis Marsalis, Walter Payton, Phillip Manuel, Deacon John and The Ivories, and many others.  She will be coming into the station to perform live in support of our Fall Membership Drive.  Hosted by TR Johnson.

Seva Venet plays New Orleans jazz on the National steel guitar. Seva nad his band takes his music seriously and is committed to New Orleans and the New Orleans musical tradition.  His trio will bring their traditional sound to the WWOZ studio to show their support for the Fall 2009 Membership Drive.  hosted by Tom Morgan.

Jesse McBride can humbly note his regular performances in New Orleans jazz
clubs like Snug Harbor, The Funky Butt, and Sweet Lorraines. From
straight-ahead to contemporary jazz, funk, and R&B, Jesse continues
to bridge gaps the styles and generations.

The Next Generation (begun by Harold Battiste) has been compared to Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers in New Orleans. The focus of the music is the 2nd 50 years of New Orleans Jazz. Jesse has since taken over the direction of The Next Generation with new young talent in New Orleans.

Ooooooowwwwwww!  Walter "Wolfman" Washington is a New Orleans favorite! He has been entertaining locals and international audiences both for a long time.  His great guitar playing and low-down funky songs are a real treat for Blues and R&B fans.  Hosted by Andrew Graffe.
